Makaton for Parents & Carers

The best way to learn Makaton is to attend a workshop. It means you can learn with other people and share your experiences. In this session you’ll learn some basic signs and how to use them in short phrases and conversations as well as a few songs and nursery rhymes. It will also give you the opportunity to think about taking a further follow-up Makaton course, should you wish to.

This small group ‘taster’ is recommended for parents, family members and carers who need to use Makaton at home with their children.

The workshop is delivered by Tracy King, a highly experienced and passionate Makaton Regional Tutor. Tracy has extensive experience of applying Makaton in a wide range of settings as well as a passion for helping others to build up and apply their skills. You will leave the session feeling inspired and confident.
