Data Protection:
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became effective on 25 May 2018. The GDPR has brought considerable changes to data protection law both in the UK and across the European Economic Area. Dorking Nursery School and Family Centre is compliant with Data Protection Laws.
As a Family Centre, we carefully monitor attendance at our groups and keep the details of families who attend so that we can let them know about changes to our services. A record of who is on the premises is also part of our safeguarding policy. These details are collected on paper sign in sheets and through an online registration form.
Data relating to attendance at groups is held securely in a data base that only Mole Valley Family have access to and information will only be stored for the purposes of service monitoring and to meet our contracted requirements for provision of data to Surrey County Council. Mole Valley Family Centre will not keep personal information in the data base once the youngest child in the family turns 12 years old.
