Save Nursery Schools!

Sunday 5th February - The Guardian; Every child should have the right to a Nursery Education.

Wednesday 1st February - read the latest debate from parliament on Maintained Nursery Schools.

Tuesday 31st January, The Guardian published the following article 'What society gives its children less chance than their parents?' - click on the link to read more!

January 2017 - The government is proposing drastic funding cuts for all state run Nursery Schools across the country from 2019. This will mean that 400 state Nursery Schools, just like Dorking, will no longer be able to exist in their current form. 97% of them are rated good or outstanding by Ofsted, a standard not matched by any other part of the education sector. No other part of the education sector is as highly rated, and yet no other part of the sector faces a less certain future. Together, we can help make a difference!

Please, take a moment and sign the petition. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/171052

If you do not live in Dorking, please use our postcode RH4 1BY. When you sign it, you need to click on the link and you must confirm your signature in your email inbox, or your vote does not count. (Check it has not gone into your junk!) Please, then share it - with all your friends and family - again, using our postcode.

It currently has 25,000 signatures. We need 100,000 to be considered for a debate in Parliament. Learn more at http://www.savenurseryschools.org/ and follow them on Twitter #savenurseryschools.
