Home Visiting

Playlink

As well as running Stay and Play groups and a toy library at Dorking Rural Children's Centre, Playlink provides a home visiting service to families in the local area of Goodwyns, Rough Rew and Chart Downs.  These visits usually start when the child is 18 months old and continue for about a year at one hour per week during term time.

The playlink visitors take a variety of play equipment into each home and use it with the parents to support the child's development and learning through a range of planned, fun activities.

Outreach

Our outreach workers also run Stay and Play groups in the community and at Dorking Rural Children's Centre.  In addition they are able to support some parents in their homes, at the centre and/or on the phone if they have a particular need.  If you feel you would benefit from such 1:1 support please speak to your health visitor or to one of the outreach workers.
