Children's Centre campaign

Our Children's Centre serves as a vital hub for families across the Dorking and surrounding area, providing support to families pre- and post- birth up to the age of five.  The range of services provided: from baby groups, Stay and Play sessions, parenting classes, health clinics and outreach.  The Governing Body at Dorking Nursery School and Children's Centre are committed to the service the Children's Centre provides.

Nationally and locally there are some proposals for dramatic reductions in the Children's Centre services on offer.  This could impact on what we can provide to our families at our Goodwyns Road site and Under 3s at West Street. Our Governing Body is committed to ensure that we can continue to provide a service to the community and we need your help to do this.

What can you do?

We need as many signatures on the National Petition to support continued funding for Children's Centres.  Click here to register your vote - do not forget to click on the link that is emailed to you or your vote will not count.

There is also a Surrey Petition - Click here to vote

You can also write to your local MP or Councillor - details of our local Councillors can be found on the Mole Valley website.
