Groups for Children, Parents and Carers

Dorking Nursery School and Children's Centre

We run 'Stay and Play' groups at both our sites for parents or carers and their children.

You will find:
  • a wide range of exciting activities for the children
  • support and information from experienced staff
  • no booking required
  • a request for £1.50 per session per family towards the cost of activities and/or a snack
Families in our area:

Due to the high number of families using the Children's Centre, we need to prioritise places at Stay and Play sessions for families living in our reach area (RH4 and RH5).

If you live outside our reach area, we are very happy to let you know where your local Children's Centre is, or tell you about other groups and venues locally.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes and ask for your understanding.

The group provides fun and stimulating activities for the children in their care.  It also enables childminders to share best practice and to support each other.

There is a noticeboard for both parents and childminders, including information for parents on how to choose a childminder, future group activities for childminders and childminding training opportunities as well as a vacancy list for childminders to advertise their availability to new parents and carers.
